Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers teases new HD Kid and Serge

Announced last week at the Nintendo Direct presentation, Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch in April. Our own Erin Vieira reported on the news and what we could expect from the remaster based on the information given by Nintendo. Now, Square Enix has given us a glimpse into the future.

Released on Chrono Cross’ official Twitter page on Feb. 13, a set of four images shows how the graphics will look for each character’s 3D revamp. Both Serge and Kid were on full display comparing their original look to the updated graphics the game will have. And can we say, the images are lovely. Crisp, clear graphics give definition to the group, while enhanced colors pallets really make them shine.

Radical Dream or not, the time put into developing Chrono Cross can be seen in the quality of their work. And good news for those who want to transverse epic dimensions old school style: you still can. The improved graphics can be toggled on and off per players preference in the menu.

Also remember pre-orders are open now. Chrono Cross will be available on Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam on April 7.
