Monster Rancher fans will go bananas over this new addition to Super Monkey Ball!
The list of characters announced to join Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania appears to never end. Now, Monster Rancher and Super Monkey Ball collide as Suezo rolls into Banana Mania. Announced on Twitter this morning, Suezo will arrive as a post-launch DLC character Oct. 19. The one-eyed creature from Monster Rancher will set players back $4.99.

What we know about Suezo in Banana Mania
For those unfamiliar, Suezo is a monster type from the Monster Rancher franchise. The Monster Rancher games see the player take on the role of a monster breeder. Breeders have their own ranches where the monsters they collect from “disc stones” can train for tournaments. In tournaments, breeders put their monsters to battle to test their skills. It’s important to maintain trust with your monsters, however, because some may be reluctant to follow your orders. Suezo is one of these more stubborn creatures.
The one-eyed creature is often considered the mascot of the series and is in all but one game. Suezos are highly intellegent creatures and excel in accuracy. They can also develop such skills as telekinesis and telepathy. However, they tend to have a selfish nature and are weak in regards to the life stat.
In Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, Suezo collects the famed “disc stones” from the Monster Rancher games, as opposed to bananas. Suezo joins the likes of a slew of unique characters announced for Banana Mania. The list of other characters includes:
In addition, the first non-gaming character entering the game, Hello Kitty, was just announced yesterday. Suezo rolls out to Banana Mania as a post-launch DLC character October 19 for $4.99. In some more good news for Monster Rancher fans, a remaster of the first two games releases December 9 for Nintendo Switch, PC and iOS.
How to Pre-Order Banana Mania
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and will be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. The game will launch on Oct. 5, 2021. Retail prices are $29.99 USD for standard editions and $39.99 USD for deluxe versions.
