Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal anime OP reveal

As we continue celebrating the Legend of Mana 30th anniversary, Square Enix releases more enjoyable content for us. After Square Enix and Warner Bros dropped a teaser trailer for the upcoming Mana anime, we’ve been patiently waiting for more news. Now, they’ve released the opening movie for Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal, featuring a beautiful song by Saori Hayami.

Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal OP

The animation for Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal looks gorgeous. Over the theme song “Tear of Will” sung by Saori Hayami, we get a look at what the anime has to offer. With whimsical and bright imagery, the opening highlights the different casts of characters. We saw many of their designs in the key visuals, but seeing them in the full OP highlights just how great they look.

If you don’t remember the initial teaser, here’s a reminder of what to expect:

Shiloh, a young boy who lives near the town of Domina, begins to hear a mysterious voice in his dreams. The voice told him he had a mission… One day, Shiloh meets two people known as “Jumi.” The Jumi are a race of people targeted—and many killed—for the jewel buried in their chests. Recently, mysterious jewel thieves have been attacking Jumi all over the world. And so Shiloh sets out on an adventure concerning the jewels of the Jumi!

When will the anime release?

Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal releases October 7, 2022. In a little over a week, fans of the game series can finally see it animated. Though no official episode list has been released, it’s likely it’ll be at least 12 episodes, as is standard for most anime.
