REvisit this classic masterpiece in full HD!

As fans debate whether the rumored Resident Evil 4 remake will happen, a new fan-made HD remaster releases next week.

Two days ago, Albert Marin released the official final trailer for his Resident Evil 4 HD remaster project. Marin remastered every single texture within the game. From character models and backgrounds to the user interface, Marin ambitiously brought the classic to life in full HD.

In addition, Marin crafted significantly improved lighting effects and revised thousands of 3D models. The HD remaster also features upgraded and restored visual effects throughout the entire game.

Along with the main campaign, Marin gave the same level of detail for RE4’s additional modes as well. Both of Ada Wong’s stories, Assignment Ada and Separate Ways, also feature fully remastered HD graphics. Additionally, The Mercenaries received detailed graphical improvements too.

Marin also made additional improvements to Resident Evil 4 as well. One new option is the ability to choose between the standard or classic camera angles while playing as Ashley. In addition, the Resident Evil 4 HD remaster supports multiple languages.

The massive project took Marin eight years of work. However, he is finally ready to release the Resident Evil 4 HD remaster on February 2. The HD remaster will work on PC for versions 1.0.6 and 1.1.0 on Steam. The website to download it, RE4HD.com, will officially go live next Wednesday.

Big things in store for Resident Evil 4

Earlier this month, Capcom teased they would provide fans new ways to enjoy classic Resident Evil games. The cryptic messages, paired alongside supposedly leaked concept art, lead many fans to believe an RE4 remake is on the horizon. However, in the meantime, Albert Marin’s stunning HD remaster should scratch the itch to play the iconic title with improved graphics.
