Voice actor reportedly leaked Resident Evil 4 remake concept art

DC Douglas refutes all claims.

Recent reports claim that Resident Evil voice actor DC Douglas leaked concept art for the unannounced Resident Evil 4 remake.

The claims suggest Douglas sent concept art to fans on Twitter. In addition, Douglas also reportedly discussed his role as Albert Wesker during a Twitch livestream. The revealed artwork shows off Wesker’s new design for the RE4 remake.

Douglas has portrayed Wesker in a variety of Resident Evil projects dating back to 2007’s Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles. However, he denies any claim of his involvement in a potential RE4 remake.

In a recent Facebook post, he insists that he made no posts regarding his involvement in Resident Evil 4. Additionally, Douglas states that he is not under any contract with Capcom for Resident Evil 4 or any other title. He also doubled down on his refute by posting the same image on his Instagram Story.

DC Douglas’ official statement

Douglas’ involvement in a potential Resident Evil 4 remake isn’t the only rumor circulating the voice actor. In addition, reports of inappropriate behavior and sexual harassment currently surround him as well. Twitter user @BewareCreepyVAs made multiple posts regarding the allegations.

However, Douglas also refutes these claims. He recently shared a link to his blog that details his side of the story. In his rebuttal, Douglas alleges that he is the victim of both stalking and defamation by a pair of former fans. He does admit to briefly sharing a relationship with one of the fans, however.

According to Douglas, both the sexual harassment claim and the supposed RE4 concept art leak are misinformation. Regardless, the rumors surrounding the voice actor persist.

In addition, Eurogamer reached out to Capcom for a statement. The company states that it, “does not comment on rumor or speculation.”
