Xbox adds 70+ new games to the backward compatibility list

During the Xbox 20th Anniversary celebration stream, Microsoft revealed a big surprise for fans of the backward compatibility library. As of today, over 70 titles are joining the list! All games will work on the Xbox Series X, Series S, and the Xbox One family. The complete list of titles are in the image below:

There are some heavy hitters on the list for fans of the Xbox and Xbox 360. Binary Domain is a cult favorite among SEGA and shooting game fans. The F.E.A.R. trilogy is a series that many fans thought would never be heard from again. The Max Payne games (especially 3) were some of the highest requested by the Xbox community to join the list. Overall, it’s a phenomenal list that is sure to please any fan of the Xbox ecosystem.

If you want some picks from me? I have a couple I would happily recommend! Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe laid the groundwork for Mortal Kombat game-play-wise to be the reboot we all wanted. And I always felt the latter got an unfair shake because fans were sad it didn’t have the violence the series was known for. Manhunt is one of the most infamous games of all time due to it causing political uproar in the mid-2000s. It’s a game I feel everyone should try once to see how they feel about it. And I echo SEGA fans in begging you all to try Binary Domain. That game deserves a sequel dang it!

All games are available now at various prices on the Microsoft Store. Are you excited to try some old classics again on your current hardware? Do you feel any games are missing? (I’m sad about Jet Set Radio Future too). Let us know below!
