Soulcalibur VI hits 2 million units sold across all platforms

Good news for those that love a brand new stage of history. Soulcalibur VI has passed 2 million units sold across all platforms! The soft reboot of the series launched on October 19th, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam to praise from critics and fans. If you haven’t seen footage of the game, you can check out the trailer below.

Soulcalibur VI brings the series to a new generation of players with new features and a new story mode that is a retelling of the events of the first Soulcalibur game. It also includes an expansive create a character mode that will let you shape any warrior with your favorite fighter’s move set to take onto the battlefield in local play and online.

It’s great to see that the game is still having steady sales numbers. I was a big fan of the reboot and how it managed to bring new mechanics to the 3D fighting series such as the reversal edge and soul charge. The rebooted story makes it very easy for first-time players to jump into the series. Plus, it’s a game that is a blast to watch esports-wise as well. Hopefully, the consistent sales numbers lead to Soulcalibur VII down the line.
