Psychonauts 2, Twelve Minutes, Myst remake head to Xbox Game Pass in August

Among a slew of upcoming titles, Psychonauts 2, Twelve Minutes, and the Myst remake are arriving to Xbox Game Pass this month.

Microsoft has announced the final games coming to Xbox Game Pass in August, rounding out the month with a handful of new releases. Among the titles launching on the service are SEGA’s 4X strategy game Humankind, the long-awaited sequel to Double Fine’s Psychonauts, the time-loop thriller narrative game Twelve Minutes, and the remake of Myst by Cyan Worlds.

Humankind was released on August 17th, available on PC day one via Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft also brought over three EA Play games onto Xbox Cloud Gaming that same day: Need for Speed Heat, Star Wars Battlefront II, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Other games released for Xbox Game Pass today include Recompile and Train Sim World 2.

However, the big announcement was the release of three titles that have been highly anticipated: Psychonauts 2, Twelve Minutes, and the Myst remake.

When can you play them?

Psychonauts 2, the follow-up to the cult classic released in 2005, is the latest product of acclaimed video game director Tim Schafer. After years of teasers and a large-scale fundraising campaign, Double Fine is finally set to release the sequel to one of its most beloved properties. Psychonauts 2 will be available on Xbox Game Pass when it launches on August 25th.

Developed by former Rockstar and Ubisoft artist Luis Antonio, Twelve Minutes centers around a husband and wife stuck in a time loop with a vindictive police officer. It features voice performances by big-name stars James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem Dafoe. Twelve Minutes is available NOW on Xbox Game Pass.

Cyan Worlds originally released the seminal PC adventure game Myst in 1993. Following a number of sequels and re-releases, the remake brings the island of Myst into VR for the first time. Don’t worry, though: a VR headset isn’t required to experience it. Myst will be available on Xbox Game Pass when it launches on August 26th.

Which of these games will you be playing before August comes to a close? Let us know!
