Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is getting rollback netcode

If there’s one thing that will get a fighting game on the FGC’s radar, it’s rollback netcode. It is, of course, the best way to play fighters online. Because of this, Arc System Works has been hard at work to fit it into all of it’s titles – both old and new! And now that includes the upcoming re-release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax!

In a short video, producer Kazuhisa Wada confirmed that rollback netcode would come to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax in a future free update this summer! The netcode update will only be coming out for the PC and PlayStation versions though. Nintendo Switch will still be left with the delay based platform. You can check out the full announcement video below.

It’s great news for fans of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Rollback netcode will ensure the game finds a new audience of fighting game fans that missed out on the release back in 2013. It’s unfortunate, though, that it won’t be coming to the Switch version of the game. Arc System Works still hasn’t cracked the code on how to bring the service to any of their titles on the Switch. Hopefully, that can change down the line!

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax releases on March 17th for PlayStation 4/5, Steam, and Nintendo Switch. Are you excited for the brawler to get rollback netcode to throw down with people online? Let us know in the comments!
