A surprising leak shows us the new games coming to Games With Gold

Similar to the rumors surrounding PlayStation Plus, it appears we also know January’s lineup for Xbox Live’s Games With Gold. According to video game leaker Billbil-kun, next month’s lineup of free games includes four arcade-style gems. As a result of the leaks, Xbox officially confirmed the lineup today.

• NeuroVoider (January 16 to February 15)
• Aground (January 1 to January 31)
• Radiant Silvergun (January 1 to January 15)
• Space Invaders Infinity Gene (January 16 to January 31)

About the games coming to Games With Gold

NeuroVoider is a twin-stick shooter/RPG. Set in a cyber futuristic world, the wacky game follows brains shooting evil robots with nuclear rocket launchers. In NeuroVoider, you battle through hordes of robots and boost your character with their remains. At the end, you must defeat the master unsurprisingly named NeuroVoider.

Aground is a mini/crafting RPG where you take on the role of one of the final human survivors. In the game, you must survive on an uninhabited island with only a few other victims of the crash. In Aground, you can craft, mine and build in order to survive the dire circumstances.

Radiant Silvergun is a shoot ’em up originally released in 1998 in Japanese arcades. Later that year, it was ported to SEGA Saturn. The game gives you a wide arsenal with three primary weapons to take out enemies. The story of the game takes place in the year 2520, where scientists on Earth discovered a giant crystal along with a robot. After the crystal summons hostile forces to attack Earth, fighter pilots board their Silvergun fighters to save the planet.

The Space Invaders games need no introduction. However, Space Invaders Infinity Gene was originally a mobile game before it was ported to consoles in 2010. The shoot ’em up blends classic characters and gameplay with the new evolution feature. Although the first stage features the classic Space Invaders appearance and mechanics, progressing through the levels systematically makes gameplay more advanced.

Because Xbox officially confirmed the list, Billbil-kun’s successful track record in gaming leaks increases. The Dealabs user is also responsible for the recent PlayStation Plus lineup for January as well. Billbil-kun states that their motivation for the leaks is to help people save money.
