You can play Mortal Kombat 1 early for $1,000

Mortal Kombat 1 scalpers deliver a fatality of bad deals

Yesterday, Warner Bros. sent out codes for the Mortal Kombat 1 Online Stress Test. Now, scalpers are already trying to seize on the opportunity. Spotted on Reddit, one user stumbled upon an eBay listing, with the code listed at $1,000.

Since the original post, the eBay listing is officially off the site. However, we don’t know if that’s because someone actually bought it. That said, if they did, hopefully they are free this weekend, as that’s how long the Online Stress Test will run for.

Other posts popped up across eBay as well. Ranging between $200 to $500, buying one of these codes means you’ll be able to test the game’s online capabilities at a significantly higher price than the actual game itself when it launches. Some listings also direct players to a Discord server, where they are currently taking bids.

With the Stress Test ending officially on Monday, we at Mega Visions highly recommend you steer clear of buying one of the codes. The sellers are not accepting refunds, either, making the already bad deal that much shadier. You would be better off to wait until the Beta drops in August for those who pre-order the title.
