Xbox Games With Gold offers two spooky gems for the holidays

It’s the end of the month, which means it’s time to see what Xbox is giving away! That’s right! Every month Xbox Gold members get free games over the month. The first game comes in the first half and the second game in the second half. This month’s 360 offerings line up perfectly with Halloween with titles from Castlevania and Resident Evil!

From October 1st to the 15th, players can receive Castlevania: Harmony of Despair. From October 16th to the 31st, Resident Evil Code: Veronica X will be free for all users. Both games also are backward compatible and will work on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S. If you have never seen either game, you can check out their trailers below:

Releasing both for free in October is a fantastic way to bring two of the best horror-focused franchises to players. Harmony of Despair is different compared to most Castlevania games but works well as a co-op adventure. Then there is Veronica X. Release originally for the Dreamcast in 1999 Code Veronica is a beloved entry in the Resident Evil franchise. With many new fans of Resident Evil, thanks to the success of VII and Village, it might be time to revisit this classic.

Xbox Gold is available to all Xbox owners for $9.99 for one month or $59.99 for a year. Gold is also part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $24.99 a month. Are you excited to snag one of these two horror gems for free? Let us know below!
