Ubisoft+ is making its way to Xbox soon

Also, Rainbow Six Extraction will launch on Xbox Game Pass

The growing dominance of subscription services in the gaming industry shows no signs of slowing down. With the increased popularity of services like Xbox Game Pass and EA Play, we’re likely to see the importance of such platforms grow into the future. Earlier today, Ubisoft announced that their subscription service Ubisoft+ will come to Xbox in the future.

Although Ubisoft+ isn’t new on its own, it was previously exclusive to PC. The publisher’s subscription-based gaming service provides players access to an impressive library of Ubisoft titles. In addition, the subscription boasts day-one access to new releases, as well as all the DLC from premium editions.

As of now, there’s no word on when we’ll see Ubisoft+ on Xbox. Additionally, it remains unconfirmed whether the Xbox version will retain its PC price point of $15 per month.

Play Rainbow Six Extraction day one on Xbox Game Pass

However, in the meantime, Ubisoft made another exciting announcement to tide fans over. In their official announcement, the company adds that the highly-anticipated Rainbow Six Extraction will launch on Xbox Game Pass.

Rainbow Six Extraction on Game Pass

The alien-themed spinoff to the hit tactical FPS Rainbow Six Siege launches on Jan. 20. Game Pass subscription holders can play Extraction on day one for both Xbox and PC. Ubisoft’s Chris Early expresses his excitement to launch Rainbow Six Extraction in the company’s official statement.

By making Rainbow Six Extraction available to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members on the day and date of its launch via Xbox Game Pass, we’re demonstrating that we believe in the value and choice that game subscriptions offer to players.
