Take-Two plans to release over 30 games by 2025

The slate of releases includes 24 new first-party titles and eight new ports or remasters.

It’s the time of the year where many video game companies release their Q4 financial results from their fiscal year 2021. We’ve previously covered SEGA’s plans for numerous ports and re-releases, Nintendo’s commitment to release Bayonetta 3 in 2022, and Capcom’s massive efforts to launch 45 new titles by March 2023. Now, Take-Two Interactive has released its own financial reports which detail the games it plans to launch by 2025.

The release schedule includes 24 new core titles and 8 re-releases or ports of older titles. A number of independent and mobile games are also on the slate.

A couple of those titles were discussed in the report, the majority of which are coming in the upcoming months. With releases like The Quarry and Kerbal Space Program 2 on the horizon, it’s an interesting time for fans of the company and its subsidiaries.

What Take-Two games are on the docket?

Take-Two has a set of over 30 games on deck that it plans to release by the end of FY2025. So by March 2024, we’ll have a number of titles from the massive publisher on our hands. The breakdown goes as follows:

  • Immersive core games. Take-Two defines this as games with the “deepest gameplay” or “most hours of content” — including series like Grand Theft Auto, NBA 2K, and PGA 2K. The company has 24 of these games on the docket, including The Quarry, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and Kerbal Space Program 2.
  • Independent games. These are games developed externally under Take-Two’s publishing branch Private Division. No new titles announced, but Take-Two plans 10 titles for this category.
  • Mobile games. Obviously, this includes games released on mobile devices. There are 20 scheduled to launch, including a mobile port of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition.
  • Mid core games. This is a category for non-AAA titles or arcade-only games, such as the upcoming Tales from the Borderlands sequel. Take-Two has seven mid core games in development.
  • New iterations of previously-released titles. While not including sequels, this section covers ports and re-releases. None have been announced so far, but eight are planned by March 2024.
