Taito Announce Mini Arcade Cabinet Complete with Swiveling Screen

The arcade, a haven of beeps, boops, and pocket money clinking down the cabinet for one last game. I don’t know that feeling, but thanks to the great collection of mini arcade cabinets, I can at least get a small taste of the experience. Namco, SEGA, and Neo Geo are a few who have their own mini arcade collections but perhaps you’ve always wished you could turn the screen upside down, then buddy, you might want to take a seat.

Introducing the EGRET II, a new mini arcade system from Taito based on the original arcade unit from 1996. It comes with a four and eight way control stick, six buttons. most importantly however, is the ability to turn the screen on its side, likely to provide an authentic experience for titles that used vertical screens in the arcades, but maybe playing a game upside down for some challenge would be fun as well.

There’s also games, what they all are we don’t yet know but Kaiser Knuckle appears in one of the promo images so we have one title, with Taito revealing the full list of games soon. Unfortunately, the EGRET II will only release only in Japan, with no news on an international release for now.

What Taito title would you fancy giving a go? Let us know down below.

I take immense pride in my ability to vanish on an F1 Grand Prix weekend. Very good at getting invested in dying hardware (Buying a Vita at launch was NOT a mistake). It is also my sworn duty to ensure every person I meet has played Gravity Rush. That includes you, reader, play Gravity Rush, I'll know if you haven't.
