Good morning, and happy Monday, everyone! It’s the start of a new week, which means we have lots of exciting new releases to look at. Whether you want to awaken the Force in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor or jump into a 2D action adventure with Afterimage, there’s something new for you. So, let’s not waste anymore time as we look at this week’s upcoming games.

Afterimage (Apr. 25)

Starting things off this week, we have Afterimage. Developed by Aurogon Shanghai and published by Modus Games, this hand-drawn 2D action adventure emphasizes fast-paced combat with diversified character builds. Throughout the game, you’ll play through a gripping story set within non-linear levels in the ruins of a fantasy world.

As you progress, you’ll also uncover secrets and interact with over 50 unique NPCs who all have their own story and purpose. In addition, the game offers multiple endings all dependent on the actions you choose throughout the storyline. You can determine the fate of the world in Afterimage when it comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC tomorrow.

Strayed Lights (Apr. 25)

Illuminating your home next is Strayed Lights. Developed and published by Embers, this colorful action RPG places you into a world enveloped in ruin. Only you can bring light to this world and battle the inner demons to achieve harmony.

As the name implies, the game heavily leans on light as both a visual tool and powerful weapon for combat. Throughout the game, you’ll absorb the light of enemies to unleash deadly attacks. You can shine onto Strayed Lights tomorrow when it comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Desta: The Memories Between (Apr. 26)

Then, developer and publisher ustwogames brings us some strategy in Desta: The Memories Between. Originally released last year on iOS and Android devices, the Netflix turn-based strategy title sees players navigate a dreamworld. Throughout the game, you’ll relive memories, rediscover friends and repair relationships as you explore a series of surreal worlds.

As you navigate Desta’s dreams, you’ll emotional moments throughout her life and obtain powerful orbs that can alter the course of conversation. You’ll also spend time making trick shots in turn-based sports encounters in the dreams as well. You can step into Desta: The Memories Between on Wednesday when it comes to Nintendo Switch and PC.

Bramble: The Mountain King (Apr. 27)

If you love dark fantasy adventure games, you won’t want to miss Bramble: The Mountain King. Developed by Dimfrost Studio and published by Merge Games, this adventure title sees players control a young protagonist named Olle as he explores a world of misty Nordic fairy tales. In a similar vein to Shadow of the Colossus, this game places a heavy emphasis on larger than life boss battles.

As you search for your lost sister, you’ll explore a forbidding yet beautiful wilderness and face off against strange and deadly creatures. In addition, the game will also offer up lots of platforming and puzzles to solve along the way. You can enter the world of Bramble: The Mountain King when it comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on Thursday.

Kizuna AI – Touch the Beat (Apr. 27)

Kizuna AI – Touch the Beat is a rhythm game that puts you in the front seat of Kizuna AI’s performance stage. Developed and published by Gemdrops, this game lets you feel the rhythm of Kizuna AI. As she performs, you’ll need to hit the notes that come flying towards you.

The game offers lots of great music from Kizuna AI for you to listen to. In addition, DLC packs offer even more music, as well as costumes for her. You can play Kizuna AI – Touch the Beat on Thursday when it comes to PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Live A Live (Apr. 27)

For even more role-playing fun, we have Live A Live. Developed by Square Enix and published by Nintendo, this HD-2D remake of the SNES cult classic RPG will be a treat for old-school gamers. Throughout the game, you’ll play through seven distinct eras, each with their own story and style.

As you progress throughout each of the unique eras, the story will slowly unfold and tie everything in together. While it launched last year for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and PC gamers can experience it. Live A Live launches Thursday for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Omega Strikers (Apr. 27)

Omega Strikers is a sports game that lets you smash opponents off the arena to score goals. Developed and published by Odyssey Interactive, you’ll face off in lightning-fast 3v3 soccer matches with a brawling twist. Featuring an ever-growing roster of powerful Strikers, you can find someone to suit your playstyle.

No match is ever the same as you blast, bounce and bullrush opponents into hectic and electric map hazards. In addition, as you play, you’ll earn credits to expand your roster with new customizable characters. You can run into Omega Strikers on Thursday when it kicks onto Nintendo Switch.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox (Apr. 27)

The Last Case of Benedict Fox is an action game that sees you dive into a twisted world of secret organizations, forbidden rituals and cold-blooded murders. Developed by Plot Twist and published by Rogue Games, this action-packed Metroidvania sees players take on the role of Benedict Fox as he explores a dangerous world on his final case.

Throughout the game, you’ll explore the memories of deceased victims as you search for cluses and fight demons. As you progress, you’ll need to harness demonic powers and an arsenal of deadly weapons to overcome the swarms of demons, monsters and cultists. You can solve the mystery of The Last Case of Benedict Fox when it comes to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak (Apr. 28)

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is the newest DLC coming to Monster Hunter Rise. Capcom’s new expansion will add a plethora of monsters to the game.After a wolf-like monster disrupts the peace in the Shrine Ruins, the hunter must go on another adventure to the far-off outpost of Elgado.

The expansion features improved gameplay and nimble-feeling additions to combat mechanics. In addition, Sunbreak adds a new Elder Dragon and a Master Rank for quests. You can jump into Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak when it comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One this Friday.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor (Apr. 28)

Closing out this week is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by EA, this game will see Cal Kestis on the run from The Empire after the events of Fallen Order. As you progress through the narrative, you’ll discover new planets and familiar frontiers in the Star Wars galaxy.

In addition, the cinematic combat system returns with new Force abilities as well as new lightsaber fighting styles. As you take on an expanded host of enemies, you’ll need to utilize your training to overcome opponents and solve the mysteries that lay in your path. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC this Friday.
