Shredder, the next character for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, is available now

Shredder joins the roster as the first true villain fighter — and he's available now via a free update.

The tubular turtles’ long-time nemesis, The Shredder, is slicing his way into Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Joining his fellow Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Leonardo, Michelangelo, and April O’Neil, Shredder joins the roster as one of the few “villainous” characters (and the first real evil-doer).

Donning his classic 1987 cartoon look, Shredder unleashes fast-paced fury with his martial arts and ninjutsu weapons. He’s the second downloadable character added to the game, with Garfield being the first. Shredder is available to download now via a free update which also includes a Double Dare-themed stage.

All about Shredder in Nickelodeon: All-Star Brawl

Shredder is a fast, combo-heavy character who focuses on dealing multiple hits over sheer power. Players who love dealing multiple fast-yet-weak strikes will be right at home with the Foot Clan leader. For strong attacks, Shredder uses multiple ninja weapons to deal heavier damage while still keeping some distance.

Keeping the speed, Shredder can also unleash incredibly fast and powerful strikes with his special attacks. He can also charge up to make his next few hits even more deadly.

As is tradition, Shredder also comes with a brand new stage the brawl on. However, rather than a TMNT-related course, this is a stage based on the classic Nickelodeon game show Double Dare. The layout isn’t too crazy, but there is an appropriately large river of slime that players need to avoid.

Clamoring for more TMNT gaming action? Fret not: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is currently in development at Tribute Games and DotEmu. The retro-style beat-’em-up is due for 2022.

Shredder is available to download and play right now via a free update. What do you think of Shredder’s inclusion in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl? Will he be one of your new mains? Let us know!
