Scorn, The Last Oricru and more!

Good morning, and happy Monday, everyone! As we start off another new week, we face an exciting time for new releases. Whether you want to get your spooky on in Scorn or get lost in the RPG epic of The Last Oricru, there’s something exciting for you. So, without wasting anymore time, here are the games launching this week!

The Last Oricru (Oct. 13)

Starting things off this week, we have The Last Oricru. Developed by GoldKnights and published by Prime Matter, this role-playing game puts you in the center of a three-way war between the opposing factions on the planet Wardenia. As the battles rage on, the choices you make and the people you side with will change the landscape of not only your story, but the whole planet as well.

Along with the rich and engaging story, this new RPG also features dynamic gameplay that implements Souls-like combat with cooperative multiplayer. The addition of a second player also works tactically in combat scenarios, as working together makes battle sequences more effective and fluid. You can start your journey in The Last Oricru when it comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam on October 13.

Triangle Strategy (Oct. 13)

Breaching into your home next is Triangle Strategy. Developed and published by Square Enix, this tactical RPG firs hit Nintendo Switch in March. Now, PC players can begin their epic journey later this week.

The game puts players onto the continent of Norzelia, where three countries engage in the Saltiron War. As player choice and strategy are paramount, the game also offers high replayability with its multiple endings. You can start your grand adventure in Triangle Strategy on October 13 for PC.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers (Oct. 14)

Then, developer Dimps and publisher Bandai Namco the survival-based asymmetrical online multiplayer game Dragon Ball: The Breakers. Set in the Dragon Ball Xenoverse, this title places you into the role of a “Raider” who embodies one of the anime’s iconic characters. However, the game intensifies as Cell hunts the seven survivors caught in a Temporal Seam.

As an asymmetrical multiplayer game, players will need to work together to survive. And the only defense against the Raiders is a Super Time Machine. You can jump into Dragon Ball: The Breakers on October 14 when it hits PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway

Are you ready? I hope so because Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway races out this week. Developed by Bamtang Games and published by GameMill Entertainment, the third entry in Nickelodeon‘s kart-racing franchise promises to bring all your favorite Nicktoons together for the biggest (and slimiest) race yet.

The game offers a fully-voiced cast of over 40 characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and more. In addition, the game also offers 36 courses and a range of kart customization features to keep things constantly fresh. You can speed into Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway when it zooms out to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on October 14.

NHL 23

NHL 23 is the next installment in the hit sports franchise. Developed by EA Vancouver and published by EA Sports, the latest professional hockey game offers a series of gameplay tweaks and improvements to give it a needed polish from last year’s entry. One exciting new feature is the Custom Franchise mode, which allows players to create their own Franchise with detailed options.

In addition, the new game offers new abilities to the league’s top players to make facing off against AI more intense and dynamic. The new title also expands on the atmosphere within the arena, providing more realistic crowd reactions to key game moments. NHL 23 slides out to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One on October 14.

Scorn (Oct. 14)

Closing out this week is the highly-anticipated and ultra-creepy Scorn. Developed by Ebb Software and published by Kepler Interactive, this first-person atmospheric horror game blends classic survival horror with disorienting surreal puzzles. Armed with a retractable spike in one arm, players can interact with various consoles and devices, opening doors or manipulating machinery.

As players traverse the disgustingly beautiful Hellscapes, they’ll also witness multiple locations that each offer a different theme and distinct puzzles. With a stylistic art style unlike any other, paired with intense visceral horror, this title promises to provide a haunting experience that will linger in players’ minds well after the credits roll. Scorn crawls out to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC on October 14 and will also feature on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
