RUMOR: Shredder’s Revenge release date is leaked

According to info based on a PlayStation database leak, Shredder's Revenge will launch on June 16.

We here at Mega Visions have been gearing up to dive into the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. The retro-style beat ’em up by Tribute Games and Dotemu has captured our attention as a Turtle-tastic nostalgic throwback. And if a leaked release date is accurate, we won’t have to wait long at all to pick up Shredder’s Revenge.

A new rumor suggests that June 16 as the day Shredder’s Revenge will drop. PlayStation Size broke the news over on Twitter, based on a leaked date from the PlayStation database.

Neither Tribute Games nor Dotemu has officially confirmed or denied the release date yet. It’s certainly possible that this is just a temporary release date, so it’s best to take it with a grain of salt. If true, however, we can expect to slip back into the turtle’s shells in two weeks’ time.

Is this Shredder’s Revenge release date legitimate?

Up until now, we’ve only had a release window of mid-2022 for Shredder’s Revenge with no solid release date. June 16 definitely falls within that window, but if the launch is that soon, it’s a wonder why it hasn’t already been announced. We’ve seen plenty of trailers and behind-the-scenes info from the game so far, and its demo at PAX East indicated a fine-tuned and polished experience.

Odds are that the game is in the very last stages of development, and it possibly already went gold. Without any official confirmation one way or another on this supposed launch date yet, we’re just going to have to wait and see.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is developed by Tribute Games and published by Dotemu. It will launch for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows in 2022.
