New Sonic Origins trailer showcases the classics!

Check out the latest footage of Sonic Origins from yesterday's Sonic Central livestream!

At yesterday’s Sonic Central livestream, SEGA showed off a new trailer for Sonic Origins.

In the trailer, SEGA shows off in-game footage of the compilation while highlighting its new modes and features. You can also watch the trailer for yourself below! The Sonic Origins trailer begins a little after the one-minute mark.

The four-game compilation sees the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD fully remastered for modern hardware. One of the key new features SEGA hammers down on in the latest trailer is the ability to play as Sonic, Tails or Knuckles in any of the four classic games. In addition, the trailer shows off the variety of modes players can enjoy.

Players who wish to enjoy the games in their original glory can dash through Classic Mode. However, Anniversary Mode offers something fresh by giving players a full-screen experience and infinite lives. Additionally, the game also features Boss Rush, Missions and Mirror Mode. There will also be a museum players can check out to see cool historical Sonic content.

Sonic Origins races out digitally this month!

Sonic Origins races over to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One on June 23, 2022. In addition, you can also play the game on PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam.

Unfortunately for physical collectors, however, the game will only release digitally. SEGA also confirmed recently that they have no current plans for a physical launch. However, you can view five unique editions of the game available for pre-order on the official website.

In case you missed it, you can also watch the previous trailer SEGA released a few weeks ago. The last trailer confirms the drop dash move, the Hidden Palace level and even Super Sonic!
