Lost Judgement DLC The Kaito Files launches March 28

The Kaito Files is a four-chapter story DLC starring Yagami Detective Agency's Masaharu Kaito.

As promised by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio last year, the new DLC campaign for Lost Judgement, The Kaito Files, is just around the corner. The DLC comes equipped with a brand new storyline centered around the lovable brute Masaharu Kaito. It’ll be available to download starting on March 28.

The DLC features a new four-chapter story starring Kaito as the main protagonist following the events of Lost Judgement. According to SEGA, it contains around ten hours worth of new content. Kaito brings with him a set of unique playing styles and a new sensory-based detective mode.

Owners of the Lost Judgement Ultimate Edition or Season Pass will receive the DLC on any platform for no additional cost. Otherwise, The Kaito Files costs $29.99 USD to play.

All about the new Lost Judgement DLC

In The Kaito Files, players will inhabit the role of Takauyki Yagami’s trusted partner Masaharu Kaito. Taking place after the events of Lost Judgement, you can take advantage of Kaito’s two fighting styles: the aggressive Bruiser style or the defensive Tank style. Kaito’s detective gameplay, rather than using Yagami’s gadgets, relies on Kaito’s instincts to (literally) sniff out the evidence and leads.

The premise of the story of The Kaito Files reads as follows:

Following the events of Lost Judgment, Kaito picks up a lucrative case while Yagami is out of town that unexpectedly has him searching for his old flame, Mikiko. Along the way, Kaito encounters Jun, a teenager claiming to be their son, and team up to uncover the truth behind Mikiko’s disappearance. Now Kaito stands at the crossroads of past and present while up against a syndicate tied to Kamurocho’s criminal underbelly. But why did Kaito and Mikiko split up, and what does this dark faction have to do with her?
