First gameplay from TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection released

It’s a heck of a time to be a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in gaming! TMNT has roared back into the gaming world with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge being a massive hit with fans and critics. And the turtle power isn’t stopping there. This year we also get TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection. A collection of all the Turtles games from the NES, SNES, Game Boy, and Genesis consoles.

Developer Digital Eclipse seems pretty confident that the collection is coming along well. Because they just dropped a nine-minute video on PlayStation’s Youtube channel detailing all the TMNT goodness they are planning for the package! You can check out the video below:

This all just looks like a TMNT fan’s dream. Digital Eclipse always does an excellent job with collections by ensuring the gameplay of these older titles works well. They update titles with modern control schemes and sensitivity. Plus, they go above and beyond by adding features, art, and extras for fans to take a look at. I was excited about the collection before (Turtles In Time is one of my top five beat-em-ups ever), but now I want a pre-order date ASAP.

TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection will release in 2022 for Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Are you excited to get this massive collection of old-school turtle power? Let us know in the comments below!
