Echoes of Mana will release in spring 2022

The Mana series returns next spring on mobile devices.

Square Enix announced at Tokyo Game Show 2021 that mobile RPG Echoes of Mana will launch worldwide in spring 2022.

Echoes of Mana is a free-to-play action RPG coming next year to iOS and Android. Developed by WFS and published by Square Enix, this will be the newest game in the Mana series. The new game was first announced during the Mana series 30th anniversary live stream. Square Enix debuted a new trailer for Echoes of Mana at Tokyo Game Show 2021. Echoes of Mana Trailer

Echoes of Mana will have a worldwide release and support for multiple languages, including Japanese and English. In addition, the game features a star-studded roster. All characters from previous Mana games will be playable. Players will also have the ability to choose between two main protagonists: Kilt and Kilte.

The story for Echoes of Mana sets the player in a world where everything is lost. Guided by the goddess, the protagonist ventures to various worlds to find the legendary sword and restore the world. In addition to new worlds original to this game, the player will also visit worlds from previous Mana games.

One element of gameplay that was announced is the ability to form a party in battle. Players can freely switch between a group of three characters during combat. The developers aim to create a battle system that’s easy to play but is still worthy of Mana’s legacy.

The Mana series receives more attention in 2021.

Throughout 2021, the Mana series received lots of rejuvenated attention. Earlier this year a remastered version of Legend of Mana released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Steam. In addition, an anime series based on Legend of Mana was also recently announced.

Echoes of Mana is the next game in the series. It will release in spring 2022 for Android and iOS platforms. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
