Arcade1up’s Terminator 2 arcade goes up for pre-order soon

I'll be back... to pre-order the T2 arcade cabinet on November 1.

Following the success of the 1991 movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Midway developed the legendary tie-in game for arcades. The game allows up to two players to use light guns to shoot their way through Skynet’s armies. Players take on the role of T-800 cyborgs in an effort to protect John and Sarah Connor. The intense action sequences and inclusion of the film’s notable actors like Arnold Schwarzenegger helped make the Terminator 2 arcade game a smash hit.

Now, Arcade1up is bringing the classic light gun shooter back. The cabinet will be 39 inches long, 19.72 inches wide and 65.51 inches tall. The sleek design is made to fit perfectly in your home. In addition, the cabinet features adjustable volume, a light-up marquee, a clear deck protector and an anti-tip over strap. To adjust the height of the cabinet, the product also ships with a riser.

Arcade1up’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day cabinet also comes with two light guns that use force feedback. The new feature of vibrating guns helps build further immersion within the game. Additionally, it features a WIFI-leaderboard for competitive players to add their high scores for the world to see. Aside from the base game, the cabinet also comes packed with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.

Pre-orders for the Terminator 2 arcade machine begin on November 1. Although there is currently no official price or release date, you can visit the official website for notifications on the game’s availability. Given Arcade1up’s successful track record with recreating classic arcade titles such as The Simpsons and OutRun, it will be exciting to see how Terminator 2 stacks up.
