Persona 5 singer Lyn Inaizumi recently recorded a new version of “Escape from the City” from Sonic Adventure 2.
The new remix is titled “Escape from the City – Funk RMX”. In addition to Persona 5’s Lyn, composer Jun Senoue returns. Senoue previously worked with Ted Poley and Tony Harnell on the original song. You can listen to the new version below.

Lyn’s rendition is the first of a new line of Sonic the Hedgehog soundtrack remixes called the Sonic Sessions. Over the next few months, a string of new remixes of iconic soundtracks from the Sonic games will release. In addition, a version of the song was featured near the end of the Sonic 30th Anniversary Symphony.
About Lyn Inaizumi
Although Lyn Inaizumi is most known for her work with Persona 5, she also performed songs for spinoff games as well. Fore example, she sang six songs from the Persona 5 Strikers soundtrack including the opening theme, “You are Stronger”. Inaizumi also sang “Groovy” and “One Nightbreak” for Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight. In addition, she sang some of the tracks, including “Road Less Taken”, for Persona Q2.
