Wanna see Hatsune Miku in Dead or Alive Xtreme 3?

Just the thought of playing as Hatsune Miku in Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is enough to send many Project Diva fans into a frenzy.

While it’s not quite an announcement that Miku will join the cast of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, SEGA and Koei Tecmo Games have teamed up to celebrate Project Diva X’s and DoX 3’s releases by offering some free digital goods that we’re sure fans of both series will enjoy quite a bit.

There’s a wallpaper that features Hatsune Miku standing next to Marie Rose and also a PlayStation Vita game cover for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 that features both characters in the same pose. You can find both available to download here.

This isn’t the first time SEGA has teamed up with Tecmo’s Dead or Alive series, as Akira and Sarah from Virtua Fighter were added as playable fighters in Dead or Alive 5.

However, it is interesting that SEGA has done so with DoX 3, as it’s been very controversial in the West, with Tecmo announcing the game wouldn’t be released outside of Japan due to cultural sensitivities and because us in America apparently can’t handle seeing the female body.

Anyway, Project Diva X was recently confirmed to be coming to the Americas this fall on the PlayStation 4 and Vita.
