Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth joins this week’s upcoming games

Two great games to play during this festive week!

Good morning, and happy Monday everyone! As Christmas approaches, we have a couple of fun new releases to enjoy. Whether you want to enjoy the next chapter of the Valkyrie Profile series or play a humorous new indie title, there’s something for you this week. So, without further adieu, here are all the games coming out this week!

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion (Dec. 20)

Starting things off this week, we have Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. Developed by Snoozy Kazoo and published by Graffiti Games, this charming 2D action-adventure title first came to Nintendo Switch and PC last year. However, now, PlayStation 4 players can enjoy the misadventures of the root vegetable who loves to rip up legal documents.

As the name suggests, you play as Turnip Boy as you solve puzzles, collect new weapons, run errands for townspeople and eliminate massive beasts. Ultimately, your goal is to pay off Turnip Boy’s taxes to the corrupt vegetable government. PS4 players can jump into Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion tomorrow.

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth (Dec. 22)

Closing out this week is Square Enix’s home console port of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. Although Lenneth itself is an enhanced PSP port of the first Valkyrie Profile, it hasn’t seen a home console release since it first launched on the original PlayStation. The RPG tells an epic story of gods and mortals, steeped in Norse mythology.

In the game, you play as Lenneth Valkyrie as you must hunt down new heroes to collect and train for their eventual transfer to Asgard to fight in the war of Ragnarok. In addition, the game offers up fast-paced turn-based combat where the whole party of four shares the same turn and can attack simultaneously. You can experience Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth this Thursday on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

What upcoming games will you be playing this week?

Overall, both games coming out this week offer something unique for players to try out. Whether you want to play a funny action-adventure or a melodramatic RPG, there’s a new game for you. But what game are you most excited to play? As always, let us know what you think in the comments!
