Two Point Campus has been delayed to August 9

Two Point Studios needs a few more months to optimize it for every console before it launches this summer.

For those looking to start their campus journey with Two Point Studios, you’re gonna have to wait a little while longer. Two Point Campus, the follow-up to Two Point Hospital, has been delayed to August 9.

It’s obviously disappointing news to hear for those looking forward to building their own wacky school campuses. But as the team needs a little more time to optimize the game for all consoles, the delay is happening for a reason.

To help assuage the pain of the delay, Two Point Studios released a video outlining their vision for the game. The developers also previewed some of the new features and updates that Two Point Campus brings to the table. See that video below, courtesy of Two Point Studios on YouTube:

Why is Two Point Campus delayed?

Two Point Studios wants to build upon Two Point Hospital and include features the community has been asking for. The developers overhauled the building construction mechanic to be less limiting for players. Two Point also revealed two new courses: Knight School for training the next wave of ancient knights, and Cooking School for baking delicious (and enormous) culinary treats.

The team also wants to ensure that anyone can enjoy the game regardless of console. As game director Mark Webley explains:

Our ambition from the start has been to release Two Point Campus across all PC and console platforms simultaneously to the quality and standard that our community expects from us. This means we will need a little bit more time with Two Point Campus to make sure we deliver the best possible game that can be enjoyed equally on all platforms. We will use these additional three months to optimize Two Point Campus for all platforms.

Mark Webley, Game Director at Two Point Studios

Two Point Campus is developed by Two Point Studios and published by SEGA. It will be available for Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on August 9.

How do you feel about Two Point Campus being delayed? Are you still looking forward to the game? Let us know!
