Total War: WARHAMMER III delayed until early 2022

Fans will have to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on Total War: WARHAMMER III.

In a post made yesterday by the Total War Twitter account, they announced a delay for Total War: WARHAMMER III.

The sequel in the Total War: WARHAMMER series originally had an expected release window for this year. Announced in January, the new game will provide a new campaign with new races to choose from. Each race provides players a unique experience through the Chaos Realm, and players get the ability to control a list of factions.

Unfortunately for Total War fans, the wait for the new game will be a little longer. The reasoning behind this decision is to allow additional time to polish the game and accomplish more. Developers fear that a rushed release would weaken the final product.

Totally delayed

The post also featured an official statement made by Chief Product Officer Rob Bartholomew. In addition to addressing the delay, Bartholomew promises to continue providing new information on the game leading to its release. He also states that Total War: WARHAMMER III will be a new era for the franchise and will see “years of content and support.”

More Total War news is expected to come very soon. Yesterday’s post also announced that we will see the global reveal of Grand Cathay at some point today. The team at Mega Visions plans to provide future updates on Total War: WARHAMMER III as more information arrives.
