Three new titles added to Nintendo Online

It’s been a while since we’ve heard about new games coming to Nintendo Switch Online. The service has been heavily focused on rounding out the Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis libraries. But the Super Nintendo and NES libraries have been barren of updates the last couple of months, until now.

Nintendo has revealed that three games are headed to Nintendo Online from the NES and Super NES. Available now for subscribers are Mappy-LandDig Dug 2, and Earthworm Jim 2! The first two are NES titles, while Earthworm Jim is the lone Super NES title in the update. You can check out the reveal trailer below.

Good. But what did Nintendo Online Japan get?

It’s a viable batch of games after months of no updates to Nintendo Online. Personally, Earthworm Jim 2 takes the cake for me. It’s an excellent sequel that does some pretty unique things level and gameplay-wise. If you’re curious, there is one change to the Japanese line-up. Instead of Earthworm Jim 2, they get Harvest Moon. Hopefully, the US line-up can get that title down the line.

Nintendo Online is now available for all Nintendo Switch owners. A single year of regular is $19.99. And the expansion pass (which includes SEGA Genesis titles) is $49.99 a year. What do you think of the newest additions to the library? Let us know in the comments below!
