The Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania soundtrack is coming to vinyl
The 2xLP collection, shipping in Q2 2022, contains the remake's soundtrack and some deliciously adorable artwork.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania is on its way, and one thing we’re definitely looking forward to is the music. This remake of the first three Monkey Ball games is coming out on Oct. 5th, and with it comes a brand-new soundtrack by multiple composers, including Monkey Ball series composer Hidenori Shoji. Audiophiliac Monkey Ball fans will also be able to listen to the Banana Mania soundtrack on vinyl thanks to a recently-announced collection from iam8bit and SEGA Music, which you can pre-order now.
We’ve been grooving to these tunes ourselves both through watching preview footage and playing the game ourselves for the upcoming Mega Visions review (stay tuned for that, hint hint). And in addition to the songs, this vinyl set is certainly an attractive set for any Monkey Ball fan.
All about the Banana Mania vinyl set
The Banana Mania soundtrack will come on a 2xLP collection in two variants: the Banana Yellow variant for the standard release and the Monkey Ball variant which is limited to 1000 orders. The Banana Yellow vinyl contains random “Banana Bruised” variants while the Monkey Ball set is colored like the titular capsules of the game, and both look bright and adorable as you’d expect.
The standard release costs $39.99 while the Monkey Ball variant runs at $49.99. Both sets contain the Banana Mania soundtrack on press vinyl complete with a removable sticker on the front cover. The artwork itself, which references the classic Velvet Underground artwork, comes courtesy of Little Friends of Printmaking.
For those of you who prefer the original music, fret not! While the base game doesn’t include the classic soundtrack, you can get the original tunes as DLC for $4.99 USD when the game launches. We recommend it for those who can’t let those classic songs go — and believe me, they are classic songs indeed.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania is developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and will be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. The game will launch on Oct. 5, 2021. Retail prices are $29.99 USD for standard editions and $39.99 USD for deluxe versions.
