The Callisto Protocol, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide and more!

Good morning, and happy Monday, everyone! It’s the start of a new week, which means we have lots of exciting new releases to look at. Whether you want to jump into the action-packed Warhammer 40,000: Darktide or experience the horrors of The Callisto Protocol, there’s something new for you. So, let’s not waste anymore time as we look at this week’s upcoming games.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (Nov. 30)

Starting things off this week, we have Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. Developed and published by Fatshark, this action-packed follow-up to the Warhammer Vermintide games kicks things into a higher gear with intergalactic firearms at the focal point. Although melee weapons still play a part in the new game, energy weapons like lasers and bolters take center stage.

The co-op shooter will feature multiple classes you can choose from, each with their own unique playstyles. You’ll need to master your weapons and class, as well as use teamwork, to survive the onslaught of the Chaos. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide blasts out onto PC on Wednesday, with a port to Xbox Series X/S on the way later.

Front Mission 1st: Remake (Nov. 30)

Bursting into your home next is Front Mission 1st: Remake. Developed and published by Forever Entertainment, this remake of the classic strategy role-playing game rejuvenates the turn-based formula of the original game while building it further. One additional feature headed to the game is a brand new game mode.

In addition, fans of the original game will feel at home using tactical planning, title-movement and specific targeting of body parts to attain victories. With beautiful 2D illustrated characters, this remake is a must have for fans of the original. Front Mission 1st: Remake hits Nintendo Switch this Wednesday.

Gundam Evolution (Nov. 30)

Then, developer and publisher Bandai Namco introduces console gamers to its new competitive multiplayer title Gundam Evolution. The game will also feature three different competitive modes: Point Capture, Domination and Destruction. You can also play all of these modes using a variety of Gundams from the hit anime series.

In Gundam Evolution, cooperation and strategy is key to claiming victory in the game’s fast-paced 6v6 team battles. In addition, the game will receive continuous updates, so players can experience new maps, units, customization items and even game modes. Though PC players got their hands on it first, players on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One can blast into Gundam Evolution on Wednesday.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns (Dec. 2)

If you love both tactical RPGS and Marvel superheroes, then you won’t want to miss Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K, you’ll work alongside iconic heroes like Iron Man and Ghost Rider as you fight in card-based tactical battles. Throughout the game, you and your team of Marvel heroes will face a supernatural threat as you work to take down the Mother of Demons Lilith from summoning her evil master, Chthon.

In addition, the game also features choice-driven relationship building to help build your ultimate Marvel team. With a great roster at launch, as well as future DLC heroes like Deadpool and Morbius, this is a must-have for Marvel fans. You can jump into Marvel’s Midnight Suns when it hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on Friday.

Need for Speed Unbound (Dec. 2)

Need for Speed Unbound marks the next course for the racing franchise. Developed by Criterion Games and published by EA, this is the first Need for Speed game in three years. After being away for so long, the new game races in sporting a brand new anime-like presentation alongside its sleek realistic visuals.

Though the game is visually a new beast, the mechanics hold true to the classic formula. The game will feature deep car customization, as well as police to flee as you speed down city streets. Need for Speed Unbound races out to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC this Friday.

The Callisto Protocol (Dec. 2)

The Callisto Protocol

Closing out this week, we have the highly-anticipated survival horror title The Callisto Protocol. Developed by Striking Distance Studios and published by Krafton, this intense horror title comes straight from the mind of Dead Space creator Glen Schofield. The story places players in a distant future where criminals are sent to prisons in outer space. However, at Black Iron Prison, an even darker reality exists below the surface. As you explore the haunting walls of this galactic penitentiary, you’ll uncover these disturbing secrets among the horrors that lurk beyond every corner.

Unlike Schofield’s previous sci-fi horror hit, this new game places a higher degree of emphasis on conventional weapons and melee combat. Players will need to master both melee and ranged attacks in an environment where adaptation is crucial to handle anything thrown at you. The Callisto Protocol hits our atmosphere this Friday on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.

What upcoming games will you be playing this week?

Overall, this is yet another loaded week of new games. From the action-packed Warhammer 40,000: Darktide to the space nightmares in The Callisto Protocol, there’s a new game for every type of player. But which new release are you most excited to get your hands on? As always, let us know what you think down in the comments!
