Terminator: Resistance Annihilation line DLC releases soon

“Is all this really worth it, John?”

First-person shooter Terminator: Resistance gets a DLC this upcoming holiday season. Terminator Resistance: Annihilation Line will be a narrative-focused DLC, with the extension starting halfway through the main campaign story.

What will we see in the DLC?

Playing as protagonist Jacob Rivers, the player and the rest of the Resistance team go out to investigate Northridge Outpost, a settlement of civilians. With orders from Resistance leader John Connor himself, they must figure out why the civilization has gone mysteriously silent. It may be another strike from Skynet, forcing the hand of the Resistance to get answers. Connor’s right-hand man, Kyle Reese, calls the shots, leading the team to more dangerous lands than ever before.

Needing answers, the team heads out to cross over the Annihilation Line. The other characters question why they must face such danger, but aren’t given much information. While showcasing a variety of new locations and sharp, dramatic combat in the trailer, Kyle Reese answers: “The success of our mission is everything. It’s all that matters.”

Interestingly enough, the expansion doesn’t seem to be coming out for Xbox Series X|S. Players who own a PS4, physically or digitally, receive a free upgrade to the PS5 version through the PlayStation network. Seeing as an enhanced version game out for PS5, it’s possible the DLC is simply more compatible with the platform. As it stands right now, the DLC unfortunately won’t be available for Xbox players.

When does Terminator: Resistance Annihilation Line release?

Terminator: Resistance Annihilation Line releases December 10, 2021—just in time for the holidays. If you own a copy of Terminator: Resistance and are interested in picking up the DLC, the wait won’t be long. If you don’t already have a copy of the game, now may be the time to pick it up.
