Sonic’s SXSW announcements delayed until further notice

With COVID-19 affecting businesses everywhere, SXSW was officially cancelled back in March. SEGA did, however, promise that the scheduled Sonic panel would take place sometime in April. This online event would give us some much needed Sonic news.

This week, Sonic’s official Twitter announced an indefinite delay of the SXSW announcements:

Hi everyone – we know delays are way past not cool. But with the world in its current state, and to keep our teams safe, we need to wait to show you our SXSW content until things have settled.

Thanks for your patience, and we'll let you know as soon as we have a date to share!

Undoubtedly, we would have gotten a glimpse at the next Sonic game(s), but I guess we’ll have to wait a little longer! Stay tuned to Mega Visions for the latest news regarding this and everything else.
