Sonic the Hedgehog HORIPAD comes to Switch this year!

The Sonic hype intensifies this year! Since its announcement at The Game Awards 2021, fans continue to eagerly await Sonic Frontiers. In addition, the highly anticipated sequel to the Sonic the Hedgehog movie is less than a month away. We even got a new poster and trailer this week.

Now, fans can also get excited about some new Blue Blur-inspired hardware. Gaming accessory HORI announced it will release Sonic-themed HORIPAD this year!

Sonic the Hedgehog HORIPAD boasts impressive features

The officially licensed controller is compatible for Nintendo Switch. Naturally, the stylish design features gaming’s favorite hedgehog amid a blue and white color palate. In addition, the red D-pad and analogue stick really pop and help accentuate the sleek design.

One of its main features is full motion control with its accelerator and gyroscope. In addition, the Sonic HORIPAD boasts a strong lifespan with a 15-hour battery life per charge.

Another cool feature of the HORIPAD is its Bluetooth wireless technology. HORI states the controller works up to 32 feet away from your console. Additionally, the controller has a lightweight yet solid ergonomic design with responsive and snappy button inputs.

In the past, HORI teamed with SEGA and Nintendo for another Sonic-themed controller. In December 2021, HORI unveiled the Sonic the Hedgehog Split Pad Pro Switch controller. The Split Pad Pro officially released on January 31 and allows players to enjoy Switch’s handheld mode with artwork inspired by the Blue Blur.

Now, you can bring your favorite hedgehog with you as you play Switch on your TV. The new Sonic HORIPAD launches on June 9, 2021. However, you can pre-order it now on Amazon for $59.99.
