Sonic Generations makes a return to the UK’s top 40

Man, those crazy SEGA Nerds in the United Kingdom really do love their Sonic the Hedgehog as evidenced by Sonic Generations making an unlikely return to the UK’s top 40 sales chart at the 38th spot.

Football Manager 2014 was once again SEGA’s top seller, finishing at 14, down one spot from last week. Sonic Generations actually narrowly beat Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, which crossed the finish line at 39, falling four spots from the previous week.

Rounding out SEGA’s games in the top 40 was Alien: Colonial Marines, which also continued its remarkable run at retail, falling a couple spots but finishing at a respectable 16th place.

It really is amazing to see these older titles still selling so well in the UK. While we don’t quite know the U.S. sales figures because the NPD no longer reports them, we can hope they’re seeing steady sales here, as well.
