Sonic Colors: Ultimate is right around the corner, and SEGA is ramping up promotion for the game’s release. One idea they revealed back in June was Sonic Colors: Rise of the Wisps.
Rise of the Wisps is a two-episode animated mini-series that illustrates some new plot details concerning the remaster. You can check out episode one below!
I always love when SEGA puts out these animated promotional shorts for the new Sonic games. The videos for Sonic Mania Adventures were all a blast and had the feeling that they were made by true fans of the franchise. Rise of the Wisps feels the same with its unique style and fun attitude to the series. It’s also great to hear Roger Craig Smith and Kate Higgins back as Sonic and Tails as well. Especially after the scare we had earlier this year about Roger leaving the series. With the reveal at the end of Metal Sonic, I’m very curious now about what episode two will entail.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate releases on Sept. 7 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on the Epic Game Store.
