Shin Megami Tensei V was an elusive yet buzzing 2017 myth that charged the fanbase until Atlus dropped an official trailer and release date this year for November 12th. With just a few weeks until then, Atlus has announced a day one DLC embargo and Digital Deluxe Edition filled with goodies for wide-eyed newcomers and veteran demon negotiators.
Unfortunately, the DLC pack footage is in Japanese, but you can get the gist of it above. Despite the European eShop’s lack of localization, the North American store details the Digital Deluxe Edition with the main game and all DLC included. However, you can buy the DLC separately – featuring three ‘Mitama’ created to assist progression, while the remaining four are the familiar subquest add-ons that end with recruiting special characters.

It’s unclear if these prices are subject to change on the eShop. Also, for anyone who can’t handle the staple difficulty of SMT games: a free update on release plans to have ‘Safety‘ mode – designed to squash the challenge and entice newcomers until they get their feet wet.
