SEGA & Atlus to announce new RPG at TGS 2021

If all the Persona news wasn’t enough to get the heart pumping for RPG fans, you may want to steady yourselves. SEGA, alongside Atlus have plans to unveil a brand new RPG series at TGS Online 2021 (Tokyo Game Show for all you non-acronym inclined).

This info comes from SEGA’s live stream program for the event, which along with delivering updates on the latest titles from SEGA and Atlus, will also unveil “SEGA’s brand new RPG.” The stream itself will air on October 1st at 22:00 JST.

Now what could that new RPG be? Well, a little sleuthing suggests that this could perhaps be a new Sakura Wars title. A logo for the series’ 25th anniversary briefly popped up on the TGS site before vanishing. Or perhaps it’s Persona related, seems like an easy pick given we already know the series will be showing up in a big way to TGS. If I may be so hopeful, a Skies of Arcadia game wouldn’t go amiss in this world of retro revivals we find ourselves in. However, it may end up being something completely new, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Any hopes of your own, a SEGA Rally CarPG perhaps? whatever it is, be sure to let us know.

Via, Gematsu.

I take immense pride in my ability to vanish on an F1 Grand Prix weekend. Very good at getting invested in dying hardware (Buying a Vita at launch was NOT a mistake). It is also my sworn duty to ensure every person I meet has played Gravity Rush. That includes you, reader, play Gravity Rush, I'll know if you haven't.
