See Racing Apex’s inspiration in this latest trailer

As you all know,  I’ve been eyeing Racing Apex for a while now, ever since I saw the first trailer.  It looks like a promising game, with some serious work put into it.

Another cool aspect about this one, is that a good friend of mine, Jason Heine is working on the soundtrack for Apex, along with another composer. Earlier today, a new trailer was released through his YouTube channel. Some of the information here was already covered in our last post,  but it is worth a watch to see what new info there is here.

There’s some info on the developer history, and the inspiration of the project, which is not only Virtua Racing, but the likes of Hard Drivin’ and S.T.U.N Runner are mentioned, which are two other flat shaded polygonal games to come out around the time of VR. Even SEGA’s own Wing War was mentioned; it’s not a racer, but used the same graphical style as Virtua Racing. All in all, worth a watch if you want to know a little more about the project and its origins.

You can still check out Racing Apex’s official page, as well as their Kickstarter  which is still going.
