Saints Row reboot officially announced for February 2022

After teasing last week, Opening Night Live for Gamescom 2021 delivered on their promise. A reboot of Saints Row is confirmed and on the way for Feb. 25, 2022. The game looks to be a fresh reboot of the franchise that will take place with a new gang in a new location. You can check out the reveal trailer below!

After the reveal, Gene Park from The Washington Post was able to reveal some more details in store for players. There will be a character creator mode like in previous games. The game’s new setting is Santo Ileso and gang territories return that you must conquer to achieve more power. Park also confirmed co-op support across the whole game and that it WILL be cross-gen.

It’s nice to see Saints Row finally back after a long absence. While I’m bummed that the previous storyline will go unresolved, I’m very curious to see if that holds. Don’t be surprised to see the Third Street Saints return if this new gang causes enough ruckus in Santo Ileso. Wouldn’t be the craziest thing to happen in a Saints Row game. We all know that!

Saints Row will release on Feb. 25, 2022 for the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and the Epic Games Store. Are you excited to see the series come back in its chaotic glory? Let us know below and check back with Mega Visions on future updates for the game!
