RUMOR: The Resident Evil showcase might happen on Friday

If the latest rumors are true, we won't have to wait long for the upcoming Resident Evil showcase event.

We’ve known for a little while now that Capcom is producing a Resident Evil showcase event. Set to drop sometime in October, it’ll show off future titles and updates to the RE series. Yet the specific date for the showcase hasn’t yet been announced.

According to the latest rumors on the grapevine, though, we won’t have to wait that much longer. A leaker on Twitter revealed that the release date is apparently Friday, Oct. 14.

This information comes from Roberto Serrano on Twitter, who previously revealed the date of the Capcom 2022 showcase before its official confirmation. According to them, the showcase launches on Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. See that Tweet below:

What’s on tap for the Resident Evil showcase?

There’s plenty of stuff for Resident Evil fans to look forward to right now. The question on everyone’s mind is what Capcom will show off at the event. One of the most likely candidates for inclusion is the upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake. With a release set for next March, it seems about the time for a gameplay teaser.

There’s a few other Resident Evil titles that could also get a showing. The Shadow of Rose DLC for Resident Evil Village will launch later this month, continuing and possibly concluding the Winters story. Others have suggested that the rumored Resident Evil: Outrage might also appear.

We’ll just have to wait and see what Capcom has in store for us when the showcase does drop. Whether or not that actually happens on Friday or not is another story. It’s up to Capcom to officially confirm the release date now. Though, it should be noted: even if the Friday release date is too early, we’ll only have about half a month afterwards to learn what’s up in store for Resident Evil.

What are you hoping to see in the upcoming Resident Evil showcase? Let us know!
