Rumor Mill: NetherRealm Studios working on a Marvel fighting game

Take this with a big grain of salt

NetherRealm Studios was the result of Midway shutting down in 2009. They have been well known from their freshman title Mortal Kombat in 2011. Since then, they have only released console titles that have been Mortal Kombat, or Injustice with a few mobile games in between. With the release of Mortal Kombat 11, they have consistently kept updating the game with new characters and patch updates to hold players’ attention.

A rumor popped up and it’s scratching some heads; So, everyone sit down because this is a hell of a rumor.

NetherRealm Studios is rumored to be working on a new fighting game using the Marvel licenses.

This might be going down as the biggest release or the biggest let down. The 2017 release of Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite had less than stellar reviews. Not to mention the demo showing a heinous depiction of Chun-Li didn’t help either. Having a fresh pair of eyes on the Marvel intellectual properties for games might be the shot in the arm it needs. The mental image of Cable’s Hyper Viper Beam ripping flesh from his opponent’s bones, is just the tip of the iceberg! Disney will not let that happen, but now that it’s out in the open one can hope!

What other instances of Marvel based fatalities can you come up with! Leave them in the comments!!
