Resident Evil fragrances available for zombie hunters…in Japan

Hey Raccoon City inhabitants and village lycans! Have you ever wanted a total emersion experience into your favorite video game? Do you want to feel and taste your surroundings? Would you like to join the zombie apocalypse?  How about the opportunity to smell just like a Kennedy, Redfield or Valentine? If your answer is yes, you are in luck! Or not.

Capcom has announced a way for fans to get just a little bit more joy from the decrepit depths of the Resident Evil franchise. No, you can’t taste the deliciousness of a homemade Baker family meal, or feel the healing burn of first aid solutions as it splashes on your hands, although that may come at a later time. You can, however smell like an ex-Umbrella corpse, I mean, hero.

As with other franchises, including Devil May Cry and Monster Hunter, Capcom is now offering for the deserving nose, a fragrance line of Resident Evil scents to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the game series. So far, the revealed perfumes are in the flavor of Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. Carefully selected colored labels represent each character. The scents remain a mystery.

Unfortunately for those outside of Japan, the perfumes are sold exclusively in the Capcom store. But before you start digging for fungus, it’s possible the scents will eventually be offered for worldwide sale on Amazon Japan or other sites. So keep those eyes peeled and crystallized skulls handy. One day, you too can smell just like a guy or gal in blood splattered combat gear!

*Mega Visions is not responsible for any increases in hunger, rage or the growth of fungus. For all medical issues involving zombies or possible demon-possessions, please contact RE or DMC reps.
