Reptile, Havik and more join Mortal Kombat 1

Plus Ashrah and Sareena!

Yesterday, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. dropped a new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 that showcases more characters on the roster, including Reptile and Havik.

The initial reveal took place during EVO 2023. Alongside Reptile and Havik, the trailer also gives us a look at both Sareena and Ashrah in the game. You can also watch the trailer for yourself below!

Reptile, the most recognizable character revealed in the trailer, gets a special spotlight that shows off some dramatic changes for his backstory. In past games, Reptile’s appearance depicted him as both a ninja in a green outfit and a lizard-like creature. Now, both of those appearances get combined with his ability to shapeshift between both forms. However, rather than the humanoid lizard of past games, his lizard form looks more monstrous than before.

The second character returning to Mortal Kombat in the new trailer is Ashrah. Though not as popular throughout the series, hardcore veterans will remember her from her debut in Mortal Kombat: Deception. Now, she returns with a grizzly fatality that sees her send feathers from her angel wings sinking into her opponent’s flesh.

Another fan favorite making his return is Havik. Like other characters in the game, Havik also got a major redesign. In the trailer, we can see him tout his regenerative abilities to get an edge over his opponents. Alongside Havik, Sareena also appears with him as a Kameo fighter.
