Nintendo Switch Online gets 3 new titles including Congo’s Caper

There are players who feel that the retro libraries for Nintendo Switch Online have been lacking the last few months, and I can understand why. There has been a lack of heavy hitters getting added. But there’s been some very lesser-known great games coming to the service. And this newest update is another example of that.

Nintendo confirmed three new games for the service. On May 26th, it added Pinball for NES, Congo’s Caper, and Rival Turf for SNES. All three are now live on the service. You can check out the announcement trailer below.

While people have their gripes, that’s three solid titles added to the service. Congo’s Caper is a solid platformer from Data East that doesn’t get the love it deserves. Pinball is a much better pinball game than it has any right to be for the time it was made. Rival Turf is the weakest offering of the bunch, but it is still a very solid beat-em-up. While I get the frustration for more well-known games, these three are not an awful offering.

Nintendo Online is now available for all Nintendo Switch owners. A single year of regular is $19.99. And the expansion pass (which includes SEGA Genesis titles) is $49.99 a year. What do you think of the newest additions to the library? Let us know in the comments below!
