Meet the rulers of Outworld in new Mortal Kombat 1 trailer

See Sindel and General Shao in Mortal Kombat 1!

Yesterday NetherRealm dropped a new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, showcasing Sindel and General Shao Kahn as playable fighters.

In addition, the trailer also confirms the return of some underrated characters from Mortal Kombat’s past, Motaro and Shujinko. The cinematic trailer blends cutscenes with gameplay, highlighting some of Outworld’s most fearsome warriors. You can also watch it for yourself below!

The trailer appears to show some early parts of the game, as Liu Kang introduces a young Raiden as Earthrealm’s champion. Though General Shao and company mock Raiden, the monk holds his own alongside Shujinko as he faces off against Sindel and Motaro. Though Sindel and General Shao feature as kharacters on the main roster, it appears both Shujinko and Motaro will feature as Kameo fighters.

As like most of the marketing thus far for Mortal Kombat 1, the new trailer also shows us a bloody fatality. Sindel boasts as she tears General Shao to shreds with her hair, before ripping out his skull and spine.
