The new Mario Kart 8 DLC courses

Booster Course Pass owners will receive eight new tracks release over the course of six waves ending in 2023. That means a total of 48 new courses are coming to Mario Kart 8

Wave 1 will be available on March 18 and will include the following courses:

Golden Dash Cup

  • Paris Promenade (Mario Kart Tour)
  • Toad Circuit (Mario Kart 7)
  • Choco Mountain (Mario Kart 64)
  • Coconut Mall (Mario Kart Wii)

Lucky Cat Cup

  • Tokyo Blur (Mario Kart Tour)
  • Shroom Ridge (Mario Kart DS)
  • Sky Garden (Mario Kart: Super Circuit)
  • Ninja Hideaway (Mario Kart Tour)

All courses will be available locally and online, like all other Mario Kart courses. The courses cannot be purchased individually and must be bought in the pack. However, if just one player owns the pass, the courses are playable in the online and local modes in Friends and Rival races.

When does the first wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC release?

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass arrives March 18, 2022 on Nintendo Switch, with pre-orders available on the Nintendo eShop. The pack sells for $24.88 USD. Additionally, anyone with a Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack membership can enjoy the Booster Course Pass for free. Some fans may be disappointed this isn’t a Mario Kart 9 reveal; whether the pack is meant to tide us over until then or completely replace the prospect for now, we’re not sure.
