Lance Reddick responds to cancellation of Resident Evil

In case you missed it, Netflix announced that it has decided to cancel its adaptation of Resident Evil after one season. The show had a mixed reception from fans and critics for its unique take on the franchise. I thought the series could have found its footing with another season. It seems some people involved in the show believed that as well. One person that did is the series star, Lance Reddick.

In a video posted to Twitter, Lance Reddick thanked fans for their support of the series. Saying that some of them got what they were trying to go for. He also thanked showrunners Mary Leah Sutton and Andrew Dabb for their “fearless leadership.” You can watch the video in full below.

I got to hand it to Lance Reddick. That was a classy way to thank viewers for supporting the show. Makes me even more upset now season two isn’t happening. He was coming into his own as series bad Albert Wesker in his own way. I’ll always be curious about how he wanted to approach the character moving forward. Sad we’ll never find out. It could have been something truly unique for the character.

What did you think about Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker? Did you like his approach and take on the series villain? Let us know in the comments below!
