High On Life director reveals how long the game is

One of Xbox’s most anticipated exclusives for 2022 is High On Life. The first-person shooter looks like a weird mash-up of Duke Nukem and Rick and Morty. This makes sense because developer Squanch Studios was founded by Justin Rolland, creator of Rick and Morty. But I digress. We now know how long it will take to complete this whacked-out adventure.

In an interview with Pure Xbox, Squanch Games Studio Director Mike Fridley revealed how long it will take to beat the main campaign. Plus, how long it will take to 100% complete everything. According to him;

Obviously, it depends on how much of a completionist you are as a player, but our average for just the ‘main story’ of the game is between 10-12 hours of gameplay. But with all the collectibles and side content you can easily spend between 20-25 hours playing.

You know what High On Life? That all sounds fine to me! I will always appreciate the shorter games over the one-hundred-and-plus-hour titles. I’m an adult with two jobs. I only get so much time to game a day. So twenty to twenty-five hours to 100% complete sounds heavenly in my book.

High On Life is set to release on December 13th, 2022, for Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, and PC. It will also be on Game Pass day one for subscribers. Do you think that’s enough time to delve into this weird world? Let us know in the comments below!
